The 2023 ATO promises a treasure trove of fresh perspectives and incisive analyses crucial for shaping tax policies and strategies continent-wide. With contributions from 36 ATO countries, this edition pioneers a novel approach to deciphering tax buoyancy, leveraging Gross Value Added (GVA) and Sector revenue metrics. Furthermore, a spotlight on tobacco tax policies unveils the intricate tapestry of fiscal strategies to expand domestic revenue channels.


The upcoming 2023 edition includes a riveting narrative of tax administration metamorphosis. Revelatory data showcases a rapid embrace of digital tools across ATO countries, heralding a new era of efficiency and accessibility. From electronic tax registration to seamless online filing systems, the digital revolution promises to streamline tax processes, fortify revenue collection efforts and improve taxpayer services.
