ATAF and CEMAC Forge Path Toward Strategic Partnership

CEMAC and ATAF agreed to explore practical avenues for cooperation, including technical assistance, regional training programmes, and platforms for experience exchange.

In a move to deepen regional collaboration and enhance tax administration capabilities, the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) and the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) held a bilateral meeting focused on forging a strategic partnership.


The discussions highlighted shared priorities in strengthening fiscal systems across the region, with particular attention given to thematic areas that address pressing challenges and opportunities for modern tax administrations navigating globalisation, digital transformation, and the dynamics of informal economies.


Both organisations recognised the mutual benefits of collaboration and the potential for joint initiatives to promote knowledge sharing, build institutional capacity, and enhance the effectiveness of domestic resource mobilisation efforts. The dialogue reaffirmed the importance of coordinated approaches in addressing common challenges and achieving sustainable development outcomes.
