ANNUAL WORKPLAN

The 2019 Workplan is the fourth of the ATAF Strategic Plan for the period 2016 – 2020.

It is a culmination of a series of activities involving internal and external stakeholders both from member countries and development partner. The 2019 work plan took into account deliberations in the following areas:
  1. The global tax landscape; implementation of the BEPS outcomes,
  2. The emerging tax issues in Africa; Digitalisation, Illicit financial flows (IFFs) 
  3. Past nine years of ATAF, and its future;(Inclusivity, Impact, Innovation and Independence) 
  4. Internal management and governance issues
The Work Plan 2019 thus presents the Outputs and corresponding Indicators for this year. More importantly, it provides the Key Activities required to deliver the envisaged Outputs as well as the respective budget allocated. 

In line with strategic objectives of 2016-2019 strategic objective, ATAF has developed key priority initiatives to realize her strategic goal. Performance indicators that focus on processes, outputs, outcomes, and impacts have been developed to ensure that the actual, intended results are produced. The 2019 workplan provides key activities and sub activities required to deliver the envisaged outputs.  

The Monitoring and Evaluation function will be coordinated under the Strategic Partnership Planning Monitoring and Evaluation directorate. The ME unit will be producing quarterly, semi-annual and annual Monitoring and Evaluation performance reports aimed at providing accountability through focused information on the level of budget utilization and activity execution. Monitoring and evaluation report will also provide outcomes and impact realized from the executed outputs.
