7th ATAF Country Correspondent’s Conference

1. PARTICIPATION

Each invitee who wishes to participate must complete an online registration form in full on  https://www.123contactform.com/form-3151983/2018-Country-Correspondents-Conference 

information will be used to build a database for all ATAF meetings as well as determine the necessary transport arrangements to be put in place.

2. COSTS

Kindly note that the ATAF Secretariat will cover the costs for one (1) delegate per member tax administration for return economy class flights, accommodation and meals during the Conference. The Secretariat will make these reservations for the official delegations upon the completion of the online registration form. All additional costs pertaining to visas (if necessary) will be for the account of your administration.

All other non-sponsored participants are required to cover their own travel and accommodation costs in attending the conference. All delegates, including the non-sponsored participants, must complete the registration for the conference on https://www.123contactform.com/form-3151983/2018-Country-Correspondents-Conference 

Your per diem for room service, telephone, laundry, etc. will be for the account of your own administration.  The ATAF Secretariat will only provide the following catering services:

  • Lunch and refreshment breaks will be provided in accordance with the conference agenda.
  • A Cocktail event will take place on the evening of 31 January 2018.
  • An Official Dinner will take place on the evening of 1 February 2018.

Non-sponsored participants should note that they are responsible to book their own accommodation. The Secretariat will not be able to assist in securing any bookings on behalf of non–sponsored participants.

In booking, participants should visit the relevant hotel’s website to ensure they are fully aware of the early check-in and late check-out requirements. Cancellation of reservations will also be subject to the hotel’s cancellation policy

4. ENTRY INTO REPUBLIC OF SOUTH AFRICA

All delegates entering South Africa must check their country’s visa requirements at the following websites

Upon completion of your online registration, a Visa Letter will be issued to you for your application for a visa if it is necessary to do so.

Please note that visas are not obtainable at the point of entry into South Africa.

5. VALID YELLOW FEVER CERTIFICATE

South Africa requires all travellers journeying from yellow fever risk countries to show proof of yellow fever vaccination by means of a valid yellow fever certificate.  This also applies to those who have transited through a yellow fever risk country.  The certificates should be administered at a yellow fever approved vaccination centre at least 10 days before departure to South Africa, as the vaccine only offers protection 10 days after administration.

Failure to produce a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate at a South African port of entry could lead to refusal of entry.

6. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE INFORMATION

Upon your arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, please look out for the ATAF banners where you will be met by your shuttle driver who will transport you to your hotel. Should you not find the ATAF banner please converge at the Airport’s Information Kiosk.
